work on the layout a-bit.

It's supposed to be like that :wink2: Have you seen the old loopers?

And your file doesn't open.

It does look like a Schwarzkopf, but a lot less compact. I like the station flyby, but the ride looks very short and the ending doesn't work for me. It's a nice touch to thread the two loops though. :)

work on the layout a-bit.

Be a little helpful and tell him what he should work on.

For me, everything after the track goes through the loops doesn't work. I would try a helix or something in there, two loops in a row is more than enough.

^as in git rid of the last loop.

^ And what is your reasoning? The loop is fine, it makes the layout a little longer and the pacing is not an issue.

The last loop isn't very realistic. When is the last time you saw a coaster have two loops, go in and out of both and drop into another one. I really like the other parts of the coaster, that park just looks wrong for the style.

^ At the moment, I will be keeping the loop. Even though it hasn't been used on the style before, I like it and I think it adds some intensity to the ride. However, I may go back to rework the layout after the 3rd loop.

So, what do you guys think of the supporting job?

^ Some of the side-supports are unrealistic and unnecessary, such as the ones in the last screen, although I'm more concerned about the lift hill, it needs to be completely straight.

Guys, it's called imagination...

Is it a tire driven lift like Zonga or a chain lift? (Do they even have tire-driven in NL?) If it's a chainlift, I agree, it should be straighter.

I have redone some of the track after the last loop including back-to-back helixes and the brakerun is now straight.

Ouch. Need to smooth out the helix's there, especially this:

Looks a bit too over banked too. Maybe reduce it a little. Also, have you tunnel tested it yet, because that last picture looks like a close call.

Okay, I smoothed that section out:

And I tunnel tested this area. Was this what you were talking about?

^^That doesn't look too out of the ordinary for me, especially for an old coaster. Keep in mind, Schwarzkopfs weren't designed with the high tech computers we have for our B&Ms and Intamins today.

There are transitions on some real coasters that look worse. Just have a look.

Chain driven, and yes they do have tire driven ones in No Limits.

For the coaster, my only complaint is the lift hill. Lift hills are normally straight for most of them. Try using more vertices next time. I have found that with only 4 vertices I can create a decent lift. Between the 2nd and 3rd vertices- use the straighten tool ("I") to create a straight segment. :)

Can we get a whole overview of the area. I really like the helix.

Sam

Much better. The only thing I see that needs work now is the supports. They are spread too far apart towards the base of the lift.

I agree completely. It's better, just make the supports narrower as they get lower; this will give them the same angle.

Here's an overview of the ride in its current form:
http://i221.photobucket.com/albums/dd289/Exceller01/Nightmare-080621111348001.jpg

Soon, I'll start work on the supports again, so stayed tuned. And for those wondering how long the coaster is, it is now 2,884 feet instead of the 2,310 feet it used to be.

I'm liking this a lot more. The ending is better, and it looks like there's a lot of places where the track almost hits itself in that last section. The colors seem really old and retro to me...which is good, because a Shwarzkopf would be old. Overall, much better.

Update!

The support work, ride, and the environment is done! Beside adding the helixes, no track work was done. Download link at the bottom.

Somehow the colors worked... not sure, but the layout was great. One major spot in need of repair is right after the second loop - ouch! Just tweak it a little to make the transition smoother.

Overall, there were a few jerks, but the majority of the track was very smooth. The layout was fun and worked with the third loop now, that helix added alot of great pacing to the end!

Overall, not bad. It was smooth, just need to fix a few spots. :cool1:

I'm digging the drop into the 3rd loop! Great work. I kind of wish there was a tunnel somewhere along the ride. Other than that it's a very nice ride and I would love to ride it in real life!
