Okay, so, I'm new here (Someone said RCPro has a decent RCT3 section, and so I figured I'd base this here now) and I've been working on this park over at RollerCoaster Central, and I got a couple good comments there.

I need a name for my park, but I'll fill you all in on what's been going on with my park. The Woodies' name is Dust Devil, and the Invert's called BrushFire. The little midway has a number of fun flat rides (Very inspired by Knott's collection) and there's soon to be a water park in addition to the theme park, not to mention a new coaster!

A Nighttime overview of where my park is. (Ooh!)

I'm using CS, including HGR71, Sit-On-It, Path Covers (I can't remember exactly which ones) ATH's Catwalks/Accessories, and SteelWorx.

Critique and Comments (and suggestions for rides/names) are a big help to me!

Excellent park layout, love the atmosphere. I can't really see too much from up there though :p Could you get some detail shots of areas in the park? I'm really liking this

And a warm welcome to RcPro :D

Thanks! Sure, next time I happen to pop my disc into my iMac i'll take some nice shots around the park but with AA on, I just had it off cause those were "work" shots (I like 30FPS at night and lower quality than unusability.) :)

Okay, finally, after 3 weeks, an update.
More detail of stuff already seen, then new stuff.

A hint of the detail I put into this.

I'll have an overview of the park, as well as Desert Storm tomorrow. Comments and more criticism are much appreciated.

I love to use Giovanola Hyper Twister train, as I am going to build a really huge coaster with some awesome drops. The train itself looks so comfy to fit in, plus it looks like the riders will get some feeling as, they are gliding along the track in a high speed. :)

Thanks for your awesome park creation. You park is so decent looking, and filled with tons of each different rides, including flat rides, of course.

Looks awesome! The coasters look excellent, especially Desert Storm. I have a question though. What pack did you get the lights on Dust Devil from, and where can I get it? I'd like to see some more pics of BrushFire and Dust Devil. Oh, and some ground shrubs and bushes wouldn't hurt around the pathways. I'm looking forward to seeing more!

Oh, and can you tell me the specs of your iMac? I'm getting a new gaming pc soon, and my main goal is to be able to play RCT3 at max settings with 30+ FPS.

Wow, not gonna lie, Brushfire is looking seriously badass. I'd love to make something like that in NL... ;)

Good work, you've got alot of tallent there :D

The lights on Dust Devil are from ATH's Coaster Catwalks and Accessories kit, available Somewhere on the Atari forums.

Next time I get a chance (I hope tomorrow afternoon- I woulda done it today, but I was jamming with my band) I'll get some more pics.

I'll take your suggestion about the shrubs too, I guess that's something I didn't see.

My iMac isn't a particularly beefy machine by any standards, so I'm not 100% sure of how accurate this is on the PC Version (Might wanna check in boot camp at some point...) But, the specs are as follows.

17" - 1440x900 screen (I run 1024x768, though I ran 1440x900 with ~2FPS decrease)
Core 2 Duo @ 2Ghz
1Gb Ram
128Mb ATI Radeon X1600
160GB Internal HDD
Partitioned 120/30/FS
20GB External HDD

I run RCT3 at full aside from AA (Night is ~7FPS), though the pictures are AA'd.

As far as the skills factor, thanks for all the compliments from everyone, I guess years of RCT2 and never quite getting it there, but managing to see better in 3 helps. (So does actually having patience for 3- Desert Storm took hours, mostly supports though.)

I really like the look of Brushfire and Desert Storm, that tunnel is really well placed.

It's a good start but for me those water slides ruin the park.

^ Is there anything I can do to fix the slides? Is it the supports- I'd love to make this better, when I have free time (which will be available, as Marching Band is over now)

^ Your waterslides are a little unsupported. There are some custom scenery waterslide supports available to help better support slides. I know realistic waterslide supporting can be hard to achieve due to the entangling nature of waterslides and the pool walkways below.

Also, trying supporting Brush Fire with the vertical and horizontal support columns available in Steel Works. This method is more effective and delivers a more realistic result then the “cardboard cutout” supports your currently using. :)

If your interested, PM and I’ll send you example screens from my past projects.
