Phantasialand, located in Brühl, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany, is considered one of Germany's premier amusement parks. The park opened in 1976 by founders Richard Schmidt and Gottlieb Löffelhardt with several attractions and shows for the entire family. Over the years Phantasialand has grown with several new additions in the past few years including Black Mamba, an inverted scream machine build by Bolliger & Mabillard, as well as Talocan, a Huss Top Spin model with some amazing thematic elements.
With seven themed areas in Phantasialand, a vast collection of attractions and shows, the park attracts approximately 2 million visitors annually.
Hotel Mantamba, the parks newest 3+ Star hotel, will open for visitors on August 23, 2008. Hotel Mantamba has been amazingly themed to fit in with the new Africa area of the park and overlooks the park's Black Mamba roller coaster. With an amazing theme, reasonable prices, and fabulous luxuries, Hotel Mantamba joins Hotel Ling Bao in offering visitors a wonderful Phantasialand weekend getaway.
