My parents surprised me a few days ago, and they are sending me up to VA to meet some family and head to BGE and Howl-o-Scream! I need some advice as when to hit certain rides (Griffon), or when get to the park, and what to do to maximize your experience, because we didn't get to do much last year.

Suggestions/advice would be highly appreciated!

Griffon is an amazing coaster. For the first ride try to go for first row.

AC is only good (imo) in the back row, and try your best not to be too stapled, so your not constricted, but still try to keep it safe.

Alpengeist is painful unless your in the back row. It'll still hurt, just not as much.

Big Bad Wolf is trimmed to death, but if you don't have the credit then go for it.

Nessie is a great coaster, but then again I love most Arrow coasters. :p

If you'll be by yourself and you have a camera bag or any type of loose article, bring a couple $1s for the lockers, BGE has a strict loose article policy...

Thanks! I rode Alpie in the second row last time I think, it did bang a little, but not near as much as I anticipated. I rode AC in the very back at night, and it was so awesome! I rode BBW too in the back at night, and to my surprise was a great coaster. When you are in the back swinging around the turn before the finale, the last car is completely sideways by the time you go down the drop! It made Iron Dragon seem like a kiddie coaster (don't some people actually consider it that?). I didn't get to do LNM though. I am going to get to do everything I hope though this year. But one more thing: Is Griffon better in the first row or the back? 'Cause I really wanna know whether or not the air off the first drop in the back is all that.

I perfered the back row, but for your first go, try for front, if just for the view on the first drop.

All of their coasters are quality rides good from any seat. But do Griffon in the front, that's the only one I really think it matters on. Also remember that BGE is now locker happy on a lot of their coasters, so unless it fits in your pocket, don't bring it. Hope you have a great time, it sure is a fun park.

Griffon front row, all the way to the right, or left... More "headchoppers", more air...

I think I'll do it all the way to the left, because that way I'll get the most air coming out of the immelmans. I Guess I'll just have to ride it twice.... front and back... lol.
I'm definitely going to pick up a Statix or two though, I'll try to get both, but I have a feeling that they are going have very little Griffons left.
