Hi! This is my first post here at RCPro, but this topic should be old news to you if you are on NE. This is an Asian-themed Busch Gardens, and this entry is themed after an Arabian Silk Road trading town!

Oooh, I saw this one while scanning the NE forums. I loved the work so far. The details are amazing. The only thing I found odd was the black and grey maintanence deck by the shuttle looper. I would suggest either changing color/style or get rid of it completly. It's just my opinion, though.

This park looks good, but what kind of coaster is that yellow one?

Ive been inspired by your work Robbie. You just have great pottential for this park. It reminds me of the enterance to BGA. Very well themed.

O yeah Welcome to RCPro!

What roof set are you using: TT, ProTour, etc.? I realize you select some seperatly, but I wanted to know what set you were using.

Park is looking great and I especially like the use of the bobsled track. I might just have to steal that idea from you and use it for something I make one day. Plus the carpets hanging over the balcony was genius too. Don't really see anything negative to comment on besides that in the second picture you have a lamp in front of the doorway and maybe change the window type up because all the windows are the same and there all closed too. Mix them up even if its just put some open windows here and there.

Where can I get that bench?

^Good! Here's another update. I know it's unfinished, but I wanted comments on archy, atmosphere, and/or suggestions.

Wow, that is absolutely incredible...I don't have anything bad to say about it...just wow. Can't wait for a download.

I have noticed that you like to build with the 1/4 blocks. It makes the archy 10x better. As for the picture. It looks amazing! What country is this going to be in? Is it a show? Or a water ride?

robbie92
10-20-2008, 02:21 PM
^^It's gonna be a while.
^ This is part of India. It's just an area now but I'll probably do a water ride.

Yeah I saw additional pics on NeDesigns.com. The Vekoma/Arrow coaster looks good! Im guessing Drachen Fire (BGE) or Python (BGA). Looks good!

The archy is incredible except the roof on the white building looks a little bit strong or repetitive. This is much better than I could do, though, but is there anyway you can tone it down a little bit? Keep it coming!

@Chris: Thanks, although that coaster is gone for the moment. I might rebuild it in another section, but India has another headliner coaster. Maybe you saw the suspended there as well?

@DR27: Thanks. I found the roof a little iffy as well, but it works with the theme. Also, what do you mean by tone it down? Too much detail or archy?

chris

No, all I saw was the Arrow/Vekoma coaster going over a path.

Would you like some help with the designs?

EDIT:

I'm using Geewhiz's bench, except enlargened.

How did you enlarge it?

robbie92
10-22-2008, 09:31 PM
^I took it in to the scenario editor and increased the map size like normal.

DR27

What I was stressing was it looked like there were too many layers. I understand some of the archy in India is like that, but IMO it looks a little overdone. When I said "tone it down a little" I was reffering to maybe a few less layers. (if possible with the blocks you are using)

Here's a pic of the park's romantic restaurant, based off of Udaipur's Lake Palace, which is also all white.

WOW.. One thing, its all white.

DR27
10-25-2008, 08:28 AM
I agree. Add in another color. It looks terrible if it is all white. The archy itself looks nice but not so much with the colors.

I think a black roof would look good with the white.

rollercoasterfreak91

Add in some silver. It should still have the white appearance, but a little more contrast. :)

Personally brown would look the best with the white. It would give it more of an "Italian" flair :p

robbie92
10-25-2008, 09:12 PM
^I don't want an Italian flair. I don't mean to be rude, but the building's part of the India area, and the park is Asian themed, so an Italian look wouldn't fit in. If this was any other park, however, that would be a good suggestion.
^^That's a pretty goo idea. Silver is the closest, but the real building is all white, so I'll probably just change the roof to be brown.

Maybe a red, tan, green, grey, black would do? Just the shingled rooves.

robbie92
10-25-2008, 09:54 PM
I reworked the building to retain the all-white wall that were realistic, but I added some more color. What do you think?

Wow. you are really bringing a sense of realism to this park. Good job. Honestly, I like it all. Can't wait to see more.

Colors looking better maybe make the domes a darker brown and it will be perfect in my opinion.

There are two kinds of realism, one is that the park looks so good that it's actually what you're describing it as. If it's a ghost park, you have destroyed houses that look good in the front and the back and everywhere. Then there's realism that looks like an actual park as in not as much detail to buildings, theme on only the front, etc....

You're park falls under the first one. It is very nice and very realistic as in the first one.:D

Looks nice. Is the coaster a B&M since Busch is good friends with them?
