I am starting to get serious again with NL, and after a few awkward looking woodies, I decided to attempt another steelie.

This coaster is an Intamin Accelerator and is coming along nicely I believe. The launch speed is 65 mph and it delivers around -0.5 G's on the crest of the first hill. After the drop, the ride banks into a tight left 270 degree turn that pulls around 4.6 G's. Then you go directly into a horseshoe roll and into a long air hill that delivers near perfect floater air. The last element I have finished so far is a cobra roll that pulls about 4 G's. Overall I am extremely satisfied with the smoothness, but I'm not sure about the colors and what is yet to come of the layout. Pics:

Comments and any criticism appreciated.

It's so simple, yet so elegant. I'm looking at the third shot, and I'd say the layout will fit best in the area toward the right of the picture. If I were building the ride, I'd go into a zero g roll, into half an airtime hill, into a stengel dive that shoots under the turnaround (pic 2).

As of now the layout looks short but I do realize it is incomplete. It seems like it is a very smooth-flowing, well-paced coaster, and I can't wait to see some more. One the third pic, maybe you could extend the layout a little bit to the right on the picture to take away from the "skinny" factor.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I'm thinking of either doing a zero-g after the cobra, or a large stengel into a air hill immediately followed by a 180 and a horseshoe, but I'm not sure what to do after the zero-g. What Dan suggested sounds good, but I'll just have to play around with it until I like the feel.

^ The coaster is supposed to be kind of "skinny", to keep it compact. However, I'm going for an open and flowing feel, so I think I'll leave it as it is, but thanks for your input.

Another thing I noticed is that it seems almost slow going through the elements, but it flows and is pulling some nice G's, something I haven't seen on my coasters before.

How are the G's on the first turn after the launch. Where it turns into the half-helix. I hope you know what I'm talking about. lol

And are you going to use all pre-fabricated supports?

Tighten up that curve on the first crest, way too "pointy". It would make the ejector much longer and would also improve the asthetics.

Other than that one detail, this is such a great looking ride. I really hope you are planning to do custom support work, because it looks really tacky without them. :p The colors are on the bland side, but it looks good. From what I can tell it looks smooth, but I can't assume that until I see some POV. Overall this should be a great coaster, fantastic start.

I'm still in awe of this one:

Thanks, Michael. I'm actually rather horrible at custom supports, I'll give it a go, though. I'll work on the hill but I'm not sure what to do with the colors.

Looks very well built and reminds me of Blue Fire, the 09 coaster at europa park

This project will be on hold while I play around with the layout until I get something I really like. Sorry for the delay. I'm about 80% sure I'll still go through with this project, but I can't guarantee anything anytime soon.
