^The park probably hit maximum capacity..It happens at Knott's quite frequently during this time of year. It's not that nuts..more of a safety thing.

There were 45,000+ people, every major coaster had a 2+ hour line(S:UF probably had a 4-5 hour line), every food vendor had a 15+ minute line, and food was running low.

It's a quality photo trick. You're supposed to blur the background while focusing on an object in the foreground. The results can be quite interesting, such as the above photo and Dan's bird photo can attest.

I knew it was a 'photo trick' and I've seen Dan do some of those shots. I just thought that pic's backround was abit -too- blurry. But that's my opinion...

It's more blurry than mine because in my bird one at least, the focused area is close to the track. In this, the focused area is farther away from the track but close to the lens, giving that extreme blur effect.

It's... Kombo! A P.O.S. little ride, made by Stengal at The Indianapolis Zoo. I first rode it back in the summer of 01, and ridden it countless times! :) (considering no one is ever at the freaking zoo, and that no one really cares to get inline for a coaster that's under 20 ft tall and less than 700 ft long).

Nice shot Sam! I love the framing, the bottom half is a tad dark though.

I've always liked this shot for some reason, maybe just its setup. I used it as the introductory slide of my coaster PowerPoint presentation at school. I also love the colors.
