Today I would like to welcome you to a brief introduction of a new park freshly approved to our city.
Hi, I'm Mayor James Poland.
It took quite some time to get people to agree to this investment, however, after many meetings we finally gained their approval. There is a lot of land to spare here in Indiana, and finally some of it will be used for something I'm sure many people will thuroughly enjoy.
I will be the one to update all of you on each and every step of this process. I won't post Press Releases, but rather chunks of 'The good stuff', as I like to call it. Meaning, basic and exciting information I collect from each article released by park officials. And because of my position, I have requested to recieve all information regarding the park( oh yes, this includes the top secret stuff).
As of now, I do not know much; but what I do know is fairly exciting:
In a couple days, the first few rides will be up and running. They will be opening in the first section of the park. From what I was told this section will resemble a fairground. My understanding is that the rides have actually been purchased from traveling fairs and will be made more permanent. Metal will be welded and concrete will be poured to secure them into place.
++++++++++++++++++++
It's been about a week since I wrote that. After writing it, I decided to hold off on posting until I had pictures to show for it. I was there during the invitational Sneak Peek Day.
>Here is the freshly painted entrance court to the 'Fairgrounds'. Inside we find food and drinks as well as the continued path to the rides!

>The station for Wild Mouse is interesting. To the left we can see the Rotor ride. I decided to stay away from this one...

>Last shot of this area. What would a Fair be without a Swing Ride and a Circus show!?
Also, to the right of the Swings is the Merry-Go-Round. It looked a bit sad, so I avoided photos. I'm sure we'll see it in some photos in the future.

>Now last but not least, we have two pictures of some construction. This looks a bit bigger than the Fairground stuff. The park is not going to officially open until this new area is partially finished. The second picture I had to lift my camera over the top of the wall.

I couldn't see far enough down to see if anything was there.
They haven't had a chance to come meet with me about what this is yet, but as soon as they do I know who I won't keep my mouth shut to! (you guys!)
Hope you enjoyed!
