Hello all. I'm new to RCPro, but not to coasters or RCT2. I have been working on creating SFOG in RCT2. The park is pretty much done and I'm currently fine tuning some things that are a little off. Here are some screeen shots of the park. Please note that this is SFOG as it appeared in 2006.

It looks alright, but I think this would be so much better with CS. Some of the coasters just look odd with RCT2 supports...

I agree but take note if you do that, to not go overboard on that. If you do to little it looks bad and if you do way to much it looks bad. Other than that it looks good.

Some things looks a bit off, but it's pretty nice. You don't see sfog done often. CAn you show a pic of Skull Island?

Funny you should mention Skull Island. That's where I work. I've been trying to get it as accurate as possible, but water slides don't really come out right in RCT2. I also ran off the map, so the Southern Star Amphitheater didn't find its way into the park.

Also an edited version of S:UF with a few more custom supports.

Nice work on the island. I have never been to the park but it seems pretty close to the same as the pictures I saw.

Great job on SI! The park looks so much like in real life when I went.

Superman looks pretty cool, nice little touches like the signs by the queue and landscaping. The pretzel needs some serious work, maybe try a hacked one?

^I'll see what I can do. 8 Cars doesn't seem to like me much because every time I try to hack any kind of track, problems come in. I tried to make the Skycoaster work by making the track invisible and RCT2 closed out, I tried merging the Deja Vu tracks, and the whole process wouldn't work, I successfully hacked Goliath using a DM track with Hyper trains, but the coaster breaks down every other load, same with Monster Plantation(log flume track/water coaster boats) and Rockin' Tug(spinning wild mouse track/water coaster boat) and the car no longer spins. All three are very unreliable.

The only thing that 8 Cars actually lets me do is zero the clearances and some of the other features like the # of cars per train, lift speed, and any height building, etc.

Any help with 8 Cars is appreciated.

Also, does any body know how to hack a scenario to include object files that may be missing? I've noticed that when I created the scenario, I selected some objects and when I was working on the park, I noticed that some of those objects that I selected were missing.

If you need help i can do those simple hacks for you, such as the track merge, Goliath lift, etc..

^Thanks, but I just downloaded an older version of 8 Cars, which I've read works better than the newer version. If it still doesn't work after that, you're welcome to help me out.

EDIT: I tried out the older version of 8 cars, and the track merger worked great on Deja Vu. I managed to create Fearless Freep's Daredevil Dive(skycoaster), making the track invisible, which didn't work on the newer version. I tried working on Superman; this one has given me the most problems. The pretzel loop doesn't want to merge. I have almost completely reworked the entire track to S:UF, and have attached a picture of how much better it looks(minus landscaping). The only thing is that the pretzel loop doesn't want to work. I will work on the other rides that work, but not as designed once I finish working on Goliath- which I'm currently working on updating the track.

You can't use that type of track to merge with a flyer. Use the 4D coaster track.
Also, instead of making Goliath from the vertical coaster, make the layout with the hyper, and use the newer version of 8cars to toggle a chain on the lift.

How will the 4-D track make it look since it's not a box track? Will it look alright?

As for Goliath, I tried the "toggle lift" and it didn't work. I'll try again, and if it doesn't work this time, I'll just merge it with a DM lift hill.

color the lift hill with alt. 1, then toggle the chain to that.
And while the 4D isn't the box track, it's as close as you can get.

^^Very nice park! The pictures you posted came up a bit bigger, so the detail really showed. I love playing the game but get impatient with RCT2 when it comes to fitting everything perfectly, but I still like checking out recreated parks.

I never knew about that pretzel loop merger though, can you do it with 8 cars?

I also wanted to ask which version of RCT2 you were using...did it come with the Triple Thrill Pack or do you have the original version? They seem to be different, and run according to their releases.

I'm wondering because I've kinda had little luck with 8 Cars as well (I believe I downloaded the newest version). I'm wondering if I bought the original RCT2 by itself, if it would run better?

RCT2 TTP seems to work on Vista, and possibly 7. RCT3 Platnium is excactly the same.

Which exact version are you using?

^8 Cars Version 1.2

I'm running the RCT2 TTP on Windows XP because of my overall disgust with Vista. I don't know if that makes a difference.

But I'm having the hardest time figuring out how to download parks with CS and open them with RCT2. I want to learn to build custom supports, how to insert elements like the "pretzel loop," or to get scenery with the Superman or Batman logos, but I can't find any good tutorials or advice on how to get started.

Used to have one. But I think he is doing this park as of 2006 I believe.

^Correct.
Ziggmuff, I am using the original RCT2 and the old version of 8 Cars. The new version doesn't work for me.

Sorry for not having any updates recently. I haven't had much time to work in RCT2 lately. I hope to have more soon.
