Coasterpoll 07 - Results are in!

Hey guys, well since the start of this poll we have changed some things that I'm going to update on now. The biggest change is that we drastically altered the scoring process. Instead of it being the way you can find on our website we did it as follows. We had all the voters send in their coaster count as well as their top ten to the email we set up. So, for example, if you had 100 coasters counted and your top ten was as follows: 1. MF 2. Maverick 3. Tatsu 4. TTD 5. X etc, etc. It would be scored as follows:

MF - 100
Maverick - 99
Tatsu - 98
TTD - 97
X - 96

This gave voters with four-hundred coasters an advantage over thoe who only had seventeen.

Anyway, as I was saying, we will have the full results posted on the website within the next couple of days. But for now we will give you the second, third and fourth coasters on the list (we wouldn't want to give away the winner would we? ;).

4. X - 940

Very interesting results. I do like Voyage at the top, but the some SoCal rides crept into this poll that I don't think should be there. As far as Pheonix...I do not know much about it. Ryan, how is it? From what I've heard of Maverick, it stands above both Millennium Force and X.

And, linking this to the Florida thread, Hulk was the only one to make top ten. I suppose most voters must have not been there before...although if there was enough manpower to get Hulk in, you'd think you would see SheiKra. Speaking of which, I'm surprised to see neither SheiKra nor Griffon on this list.

^^You answered your own question. Not as many people have been on Maverick as Millennium Force, that's just the way it is for now.

^ Link is fixed, and as you said most voters were from the California area. There's really nothing I can do about that, except hope that next time more non-californian residents vote.

How good is Mega Zeph at SFNO? I've never heard any reviews of it, but it seems popular, cause it scored pretty well.

I'll jump in on Phoenix. Phoenix in the front row is the wildest airtime you can possibly imagine. No seatbelts, combined with the classic lap bar that's attached to the top of the car (rather than the individual lap bars inside of the car like modern PTCs), and no seatbelts, and you get launched. Seriously, that it one righteous wooden coaster. I'm glad to see it did so well.

A shame for some of those coasters. You could bank on Titan, Superman at SFNE, and Kumba getting 150+ points had I voted. Oh yeah. My top picks would've weighed ALOT.

I would agree with the SoCal part. Hopefully next time around there will be a better "spattering" of people so we can get some more accurate results. In my book, Maverick does not stand on the same level as Millennium Force or X, it is a step below.

I'm also very happy to see some of the rides ranked as high as they should be. The biggest shocker for me is the fact that El Toro is #16, I can pick out at least 8 coasters above it that I think should be below it. With that said, it's a poll and based on opinions, so of course the results are not going to agree with my thoughts.
