Guy 1 : Hey when is that TLM guy going to finish that recreation of that park in Ohio?
Guy 2 :Its out dated he will NEVER do that again
Me : Idiots!

I was going to do this in RCT3 because I had found some great scenery for it, but it didn't work, so I'm going to work on the park in RCT2.

Now, the reason why I want to do KI, is because it is such an easy park to recreate! I mean, you got tons of fan sites(pictures), 2 recreations already done, a lot of people visited the park, and you can put the park together nicely.

Now, sense I live in VA (home of two hard to recreate parks >=( ) I wont be able to get every detail right!

Anyways, I don't have much too show, but I'm working slower, so its going to be common. Heres the overview of Flight Deck.

(Yes, I'm doing my in-famous corner start off, hehe)

Another note, before the picture, is that I more than likely won't be making some of the "back park" stuff, like the staff paths, GWL, and maybe Boomerang Bay. Oh yeah, I saw GWL, its too the right of Flight Deck, and I'm not making that either(saying that for the idiots!)

^I want to ask one thing.
Do I have the exit/entrance right? I couldn't get it right on the first attempt. I'm sorry for asking something SO simple, but I kinda need to know, before I decorate it :-p

P.S: Feel free to posts any pictures that may come in handy for this recreation.

^Support Work, and Station Work. I found out which side the entrance was ;). I also need to fix the entrance, how its sticking out.

I hope you're going to be using CS, the standard RCT2 supports look terrible on Top Gun. Looks good so far, but I would have posted this when there were more coasters and path laid out.

(home of two hard to recreate parks

I would say the two hardest parks to create would be CP and SFOG. I say this as CP is such a big park, and SFOG is difficult because of the placement of rides. I know that SFOG is difficult because I'm currently working on it and might restart it(my recreation isn't perfect either)

Anyways- looks good so far, I've never been to KI, but I have seen pictures of it, and especially Diamondback(I recreated it with custom supports). All I can say is don't give up(you'll be sorry if you do) and also with the custom supports, but don't over-do them. They can look bad if you over-do them, but also make sure you don't under-do them(which I've had a problem with due to lazyness). And don't worry if some things are slightly off; there is no possible way with RCT2 being the way it is to get everything perfect, but you can come very close.

There is nothing to comment on at all besides a roller coaster. As what Michael said in his post use lots of custom scenery or this park won't look good. Also if I was you I would of worked on the entrance before making a roller coaster because what if the roller coaster location is off? Then you have to change pretty much everything in that area.

Michael - I do use custom scenery, infact I use a lot of it.
Racer -Try making BGE, and its terrain ;)
ThrillsChills - Well, I have done a NCS park before, and it turned out good. Also, why would you make all the scenery and stuff before making a coaster?

Sorry that I haven't gone anywhere on this, but if these screens are right. All I need to do is add the stream, transfers(I do not know where these two things are, or have found a good picture of them), the trees, themeing, and whats going to be a nightmare. The supports :(
Anyways, heres the update.

^You know when your trying to find good images of something, and you can't seem to find them. Yeah . . . . .

The only CS I see is the catwalk below the lift... so I'm not sure what you're talking about. The exit path isn't right, it's not that high up. It's also on the other side of the queue.

I am sorry I should of cleared that up better. I meant the entrance to the park.

Michael - Station, path rails, this update you will see some supports, and if your arn't convinced yet. I'll send you the scenario! Also, I know that the exit path isn't right. If you can find a picture, where it shows the exact evalation, and path from station to midway, then do so.
ThrillsChills - The entrance is underground, so if its a little off, then I can just make an underground a path, and do some zero clearance. If you don't get it, then you'll just need too wait until I get there.

Now, I want to let everyone know that updates will be slow for this park, mainly because I have to do a lot of supporting, and I want to have the next update finishing up the two coasters. I also want to get started on a contest project, which I may consider dropping out of if I can't think of anything.

Now with the update!

^I want to use the B&M support kit through out the ride, but if I want to be realistic I need to do this. :(
If you want to complain about it, then I'm with you. I hate it myself. Stupid realism!

^I realize that the brake run is a bit different too the real thing, but I got it too where its close enough.

Try making the helix steeper by going to the steepest drop after the 45 degree banked turn on top the hill. Then melow out and do the same large, downward banked turns. The rose bowl takes up too much space the way it is. If you want a good model, look at zburn's Paramount Xtreme, and the wooden coaster in the back. Good luck!

I really like the supports on Top Gun, those are going to look nice when finished.

On Son of Beast, after the second hill, you have yours turning about 45 degrees. The problem is that the rose bowl is shifted too far to one side. The result on yours is that after the MCBR's the track drops straight into where the loop used to be. On the real coaster it turns 45 to the left at the top of the drop out of the MCBR's. If you make the initial turn at the top of the second hill a 90 or 135 instead of a 45 degree like you have, it will fix both problems. It looks really good, but it's a big problem the way it currently is.

Take a look:

So does that mean your not making the entrance like how it is in real life if it is underground? Looks better, Son Of Beast could get worked on a little bit more, the big like hill/circle thing doesn't look right. It looks like an oval race track. Other than that it looks good.

About the oval shape, I can't really do any thing with it.

RCT2 has its limitations, and thats the best I can get it without it being too spread out.

Also, I won't be able to get everything right or perfect. I may also need to adjust somethings to make it look more pleasant to the eye. Its like on this site, if I post a picture of Flight Deck missing a support, I'll have someone saying "Dur, you forgot the support"

Look, I know, theres things I modify and adjust for a reason. I watch PoVs, look at several pictures at rcdb, photobucket, and KIExtream.

I'm sorry it can't be perfect, but its RCT2!

I know you can do it because it's been done before. Thats why I suggested you take a look at that park. Download (http://www.nedesigns.com/give-me/paramount-s-xtreme). Believe me, I understand the limitations of RCT2. I'm a player too!

He is right, it can be done. You just need to be patient with how the park is moving along and don't rush anything. Recreations take a long time, but it is so worth it once your done all the time you put into it.

Even if you study those with great detail, it's going to be incredibly hard to do without actually going there. The midway by Coney Mall is one thing I'm really worried about in this project. It's difficult to recreate and there are some things that just don't look good in RCT... it's possible I suppose, but it would be much easier if you went there and experienced the park for yourself. If you did go, I would highly suggest taking photos of the midways, paths, and plazas simply because there aren't many photos of areas like that on the internet.
