That's right. On January 19th, my flight leaves for Brisbane, AU. I'm going to stop at Dreamworld, Movie World, and Wet 'n Wild to pick up that new intamin half-pipe credit!

Does ANYONE have some sort of advice for these parks? Haha.

Hah, yeah. It's going to be dead of summer when I get down there...It's going to get up to about 110* on average.

Half Pipe coasters don't live up to their hype at all.

I haven't heard much about them, but I know this new model has water effects and the new restraints (like accelerators and Maverick)

You happy for those restraints? *Shivers* those things sucked and were not all as good as they look. I prefer the good old fashion Premier Lap Bars. ROTM and IJST has awesome lap bars and they allow some ejector time in them to :)

I loved those restrains. It's the OTSR...with out the feeling of an OTSR! I can freely put up my hands. IMO, the Preimier lab bars....SUCK! It's like having 10 lbs on your chest and waist. And i've experiance them through SOB, IJST, and FoF.

The Maverick restraints were alright, but not my favorites. I personally love the Premier lap bars, especially on the Mummy. That bag thing on the restraint is awesome for putting my random crap in!

I'll have to see those.

The only think I don't like about the Intamin OTSR's was, and maybe it's just on Maverick....the airtime was heaven and hell. So good, but it hurt your thighs abit.

Take LOTS of pictures. If you want to take photos for RCPro, we'll gladly throw them up on the site and possibly the galleries.

I really envy you, the parks out there look fantastic.

Speak for yourself.

The evenings are rather enjoyable, but just because the heat is dry, does't mean its tolerable.

Your camera needs to have the speed to take those shots also, not just the card.

Have fun!

Yup, I have a Kodak EasyShare M883. It takes some awesome pics, and I can't wait to get out there. Both theme parks and Australia in general. The only thing I can -kinda- dreading is the plane trips.

I go from Cinci's airport to Colorado, then from CO to L.A. and then from there I go to Sydney; from Sydney to Brisbane. I am going with one of exchange student, and he's cool. So it should be fun since I've been on a plane once...and that was to WDW in 2001.

It's a nice camera, but my point is that its burst mode doesn't need the best of cards to work at full capacity ( 1.1 fps up to 4 frames). Anyway, I'm pretty excited for your pictures. One hardly sees pictures of Dreamworld, and I'd love to see lots from ToT.

The planes shouldn't be horrible, just dream about the parks you are going to.

Theres an article on here (http://www.rollercoasterpro.com/articles/survival_guide/) that tells you everything you need to know about going to any kind of park.

Then you have not rode a real Premier then. The IJST are not as good as ROTM due to how compact they are. They are made to fit into the tiny car and tiny space they have however ROTM has more space in it. FoF is the same way and is only wierd because of that little foot thing in the train. What I mean is that little pop up thingy of steel which could be a wheel or something I have no clue what it is. But once you ride a real Premier such as ROTM, or Speed then you will change your visions on Premier and realize that they are a great company. I am trying out a classic Premier next year and I cant wait. Even though its an S&S with Premier in it, it's still going to be fun. So even though Premier goes weay back if ya ask me they've been very successful and made me go from an Intamin fan to a Premier fan.*Thanks Universal Orlando very much for that*

Not to get off topic, but Velved's right. When you go out on the football field for marching band in 115º heat with a 45 pound drum on your chest, tell me how it feels.

Have fun MaverickMan! Make sure you get pics of everything!
