To start the park (my list) off I will choose California Screamin' (DCA), because the launch is spectacular, I have rode it numerous times and impressed everytime. It has mostly wooden supports, (I believe they're painted white and set up like a wooden coaster so assume they are ), steel track, and a classic loop. The speed of the coaster seems to maintain till the end, due to the 3 very well done drops all with no chains. The bunny hops at the end give the riders plenty of airtime as well. The theming is great on Paradise Pier, it is one of my favorite theming jobs ever. I mainly chose this, because it is nothing to intense, but definetly not boring. I hope this will be a good start!~Alex 1st pick

Ok I'm starting to realize that some people are new to this, so I'm going to lay down some advice. DO NOT, I repeat, DO NOT TRUST THE FRONT PAGE! It is only updated as much as Eclipse is on!
Also if you are going to post how long someone has to make their pick, don't post a specific time, due to different zones, its not all the same.
Insted, post how long they have.
I.E. As i post this, Comet has 3 hours left.
Some very simple things, just follow the rules and you'll be 'ight.
Eclipse
11-10-2007, 11:49 PM
first off, please don't post time limits. The players are aware of the time limits on their own and will be reminded at each round.
Also just to clear things up, the draft order reverses at the end of each round. People who start and end the round will only have 24 hours to make both picks.
Comet has missed both his picks, so it is now deadfrogs turn.
He already PMed me with his pick which is Storm Runner at HP

11-16-2007, 04:04 AM
For my 3rd pick, I choose Dueling Dragons| Universal's Islands of Adventure (http://www.rcdb.com/id558.htm)
Rcdb states its Operating, regardless of the downtime that may be happening for The Wizarding World of Harry Potter's addition.
sheikra182
11-16-2007, 09:12 AM
What are you talking about bro? It has been running this whole time, its not down. I go there alot and both times I have gone its been open the last few weeks. The only thing it has going on is that Dragons is running a one train operation on both sides. The other thing is that the castle is the ONLY thing that is getting the makeover and construction, not the ride.
3xinvert
11-16-2007, 11:16 AM
Dueling Dragons is still running, I thikn construction begins this year.

I posted what I did because I don't live anywhere close to USO, and I really don't follow what is going on or not, I thought work on the "Wizarding World of Harry Potter" had already started, and Dueling Dragons might have been going through remodeling, but RCDB still said Operating.
Just clearing a point, because I really didnt want to argue about it.

My next choice is a B&M mega coaster. I really like how this coaster is layed out. It's NOT like other B&M's. It stays lower to the ground and barely squeezes in with the landscape, even going through shops! It has small, but powerfull airtime hills, and headchoppers all over the place. And to top it all off, you ride with a music sample of your choice!
I'll choose Hollywood Dream: The Ride at Universal Studios Japan.

That was how the old drafts were run. As of right now that rule is not in effect. Maybe for the next draft it will be.

Too bad this guy missed two picks because he has a hell of a collection. He's got speed, height, air, one of the highest rated inverted coasters, and the best woody in the western USA.
Yeah...I'll be able to make them up after the draft I think.
To bad he is missing family freindlyness. Remember this isn't about the best coasters, it's about the most well rounded park.
Why would a family friendly ride be in my top four picks?
I have eight more rides to pick, I have time.

The pool is kind of like a free agency. A player may pick up one of the coasters in the pool as long as they replace it with another.
FOR ANYONE WHO MISSED A PICK,
you are able to make them up by selecting a coaster in the pool if you choose to. In this kind of case, you will not have to replace the pick.

From the pool??? Then you have to replace it with something. If you are making a pick and you want something from the pool, you will need to pick something else and then replenish the pool with your new pick after one other person has picked.
In easier terms, pick a different coaster and wait till the next person in line makes their pick (which he already did so you may proceed to the next step) Then you may swap your coasters
Sorry if that was confusing :o
