L.A. County Fair 9-26-07

These pictures were taken 2 different days but I am only highlighting my trip on 9-26-07

I arrived at the fair around 10:30 am.

Since there is no re entry to the parking lot, I got General, because I was planning to come back and get night photos of the fair.

When I arrived at the entrance it would be another 30mins before the tickets booths opened.

Once the booths opened, I used my Mc Donald's fair Wednesday coupon and got entry, and unlimited rides wristband for only $20!

Once inside the fair, I went strait to the Carnival Ticket booth and got my wristband.

After I got my wristband I found out that the rides dont open until noon, so I took the time to walk around and take some photos of the rides.

I won't ever ride Tango again, I don't get why something so painful is so popular.

It was a fun ride, lots of ejector seat air and very strong laterals . But due to one train operations and a extremely long line, I only got one ride.

After a fun ride on Hi Miler, I rode Evolution. The ride was ok, my biggest compliant is that they hold you spinning upside down at the top too long.

After a mediocre ride, I made my way to my Favorite drop tower, Mega Drop.

This ride may only be 120ft tall, but it pack one hell of drop and has tons of air time.

The ride should be called NOT so Crazy Coaster. The both times I rode it, the car barely spun and was trimmed to death. I take Sierra Sidewinder any day.

After a boring ride on Not so Crazy Coaster, I made my way to my 98th credit, Cobra.

After Cobra, I made my way over to best ride at the fair, Speed.

Speed is a GREAT ride and is SOO MUCH BETTER than the Booster. You flip upside down every rotation and the positive and negative forces are great. This ride is just awesome!!

After a Great ride on Speed, I made my way to Remix II.

This Ride was EXTREMELY intense. The Best way I would describe, it is like going through a intense B&M Invert helix for two and half minutes. I had to take a break after this ride.

After a very intense ride on Remix II, I needed to take a break. So I rode La Grande Wheel. This is one of the nicest and most intimidating ferris Wheels I have ever ridden, and the fact that it travels makes me nervous when I ride it.

After a Fun ride on G force I made my way over to my second favorite ride at the fair, The Experience.

This ride is a combination of rides all into one package. First it starts out as a weak scrambler. Then it turns into a scrambler on steroids. When the arms lift up it turns into a weak Remix II. And when the seats start flipping it turns into a much more comfortable Tango! Its an awesome ride!

I happened to be in the Pomona area today, and yesterday was the last day of the Fair. So I went to see if I could go and get a few photos of the deconstruction of the rides. And to my surprise they were letting people in and still selling stuff but at 15-50% off. Also I was able to get some nice photos of the deconstruction of the carnival. Enjoy!

Thanks for commenting. I found the disassembly part at the end very interesting. I was amazed on how they could fold rides into trailers. Also I had no Idea of the amount of hard work that goes into setting up and disassembly of a carnival.

Forget what I said on the old forums, now I know, these are the same rides that are now at the Arizona State Fair. I rode Speed yesterday...and it was so worth the 15 ticket fee. But I'm disappointed at the fact that they took out some rides this year but didn't really replace them, and also the rides took more tickets this year.

Remix was amazing tho...scrambler on steroids is the perfect description!

But rides that are gone: Inverter, Kamikaze, Rock N' Roll/Hard Rock, Orbiter (but in place of Orbiter they have Remix now which is the same ride, but upgraded as it is a floorless version of the ride.) Also the wild mouse coaster this year is different from last years. Last year had back to back seats and I thought was more fun. This year it was a standard spinner, all four seats facing forwards, and not so much spinning. Waste of 8 tickets. Good thing they sell the unlimited ride wristbadns on tuesdays and Thursdays as I'm most likely going on Thursday after school again.

Also, Hurrah for low exposure filming!!!

And G-Force is stronger than La Rev' because it's smaller and more compact, but has almost twice the torque.

This is one thing I hate about living in Havasu...The best ride at our fair is "FootLoose" AKA floorless kamekaze...fun...but its not Experiance.

P.S. Remix II looks flippin' awsome, I gotta find a way to get on it.

Oh yeah, they also don't have spin-out this year. Sure it's a KMG death machine on your shoulders, but it's still kinda fun...to watch. I really hate all the empty space at the fair this year.

Ah yes, Experience is by-far one of the best rides ever created. I have never been on a ride so wild, yet so comfortable at the saem time.

I felt the same way about the LA county fair too. When I first went to the LA county fair in 2001, I was stunned on how many rides they had, and how good they were. But year after year the ride selection slowly decreased. This year it was mostly kiddie rides and empty space. But this is what annoyed me. They had a Zero G (aka Round Up) ride and a Gravitron right next to each other, two VERY similar rides, that the fair could have done with out one, for one of the rides RCS dint bring.

The list of rides they didn't have, and they usually bring.
