I'm 14 and LOVE SFMM, it's not only my favorite park, but its also my favorite place in the world, however, Im the only one who thinks that in my family and live and hour and 15 minutes away from the park, so I don't go often...

Well I re-joined a bit ago, but I don't think I have ever introduced myself.
My name is Jon, I'm 21 and currently live in West Covina, CA but will be moving back to Valencia, CA in the next couple weeks.
My hobbies include off roading in my lifted 07' Dodge Ram 2500 4X4, watching movies, skateboarding, hanging out with friends. I dont work, but make an income.
Deja Vu is my favorite coaster. Will always be. I loved operating it, thinking about going back (3rd time back to the mountain if I do) and working there.
Well I guess thats it.

03-27-2008, 11:21 PM
Sorry cant show everybody.
I tore a disk in my back doing squats, I was 200 doing 275 and it was just a mess. Sprained knee, torn disk, ended my promising career at 15. Just be careful. Don't do it the wrong way, I figure you are doing it correctly squating that much but still. It's dangerous.
Michael

Jumpman23
03-28-2008, 12:10 AM
To bad so sad.
^^I was a center. I was 6'1" at the time too. I have always been a big guy so it doesn't bother me.
^I was cheapd by a teammate my freshmen year, he ended up getting starting spot because of it. Missed 3 weeks with partial tear in knee. Basically my knees are shot and so is my back and I am only 19. Ya squats are basically the most dangerous thing in the weight room.

Im not trying to be rude here, but, exactly what rollercoaster do you fit on "comfortably?"
I played Defensive End as well, but they wouldn't let me play really since we had no backup center and my knee was already a risk as a freshmen. What style of offense does your team run?

So chances are some of you remember me from other places...if so, move on.
If not, I am taco (real name = not important), from Merritt Island, Fl. That's about 40 minutes east of Orlando, so you know what parks are near me. I visit the Universal parks the most, though. Favorite Bands: Metallica, Static-X, Blue October, Flogging Molly, and Paramore. Favorite Movies: Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, Gladiator, Return of the King, and Munich. Favorite TV Shows: Heroes, Mythbusters, Robot Chicken, and Futurama. Favorite Video Games: Call of Duty, Call of Duty: United Offensive, KOTOR, and Perfect Dark. Favorite coasters: Revenge of the Mummy (USO), Montu, Incredible Hulk, Top Gu...erm, Afterburn, and Millennium Force.
A couple more notes, Wii = 360 > PS3. Go Cubs. Go Dale Jr. I think that's enough boredom for you cats.
TACO IS BACK!!! Nice to see you again!!
It's definitely good to see you back again Taco!

Naw just kidding....seriously though, I'm an engineering student at Cal Poly SLO majoring in mechanical engineering. Hopefully that will allow me to design roller coasters in the future. If not, I'll be happy designing anything, even if its car cup holders (I sure hope I don't end up doing that)
When I'm not in San Luis Obispo, I'm back in my hometown of the LBC!

I joined RcPro in 2005, as Millennium-Mike (aptly named after my former favorite coaster). I was also known as Intamin-Mike for a while as well. But I preffer to be known as Mike, or Michael :)
Although I'm not a high ranking member among coaster counters or park totals, I'm still pretty into the roller coaster community. I'm an avid No Limits user, with more than three years of experience.
I'm currently a Senior in High School, I live a little south of Indianapolis. Starting in Fall, I'm attending Ivy Tech for a semester and transfering to IUPUI (Indiana University Purdue University) in Indianapolis. I'm into graphic design, drawing, painting, ink, ect. I'm also an avid fan and artist of automotive design.
AIM me up if you want to know me more I guess :cool1:

Hey, I don't think I've EVER introduced myself, but I'm Conner, AKA mayoki. I've been with RCPro since summer '05, and it's my favorite site so far. What really makes me come back to RCPro is all of the features, and how everyone pretty much knows each other, even though I don't post much. My other hobbies are airsoft, hunting, music, SNOWBOARDING (sucks cause I'm in FL), and girls.
-Conner (mayoki)
BTW, I really think the gaming section needs to be brought back, that's why I joined the site originally. Just for those little projects that you don't think really need a whole thread for.

I think my screen name is familiar to some of you, as I've been lurking in Internet coaster forums for almost ten years. Goose's Realm of Insanity is where I got my start, and I've shown up on Ultimate Rollercoaster, a little on CoasterBuzz, but mostly on Westcoaster (where I'm a moderator) and Theme Park Review.

An introduction can't hurt.
My name is Jon (or Jonathan), and I joined RCPro around the end of 2004? I think I was searching for Silver Bullet info or something along those lines.
I used to be the number 1 poster here back in the day and used to also moderate the forums.
I am currently 18 and I live in So Cal so I have some great coaster experience because of our theme parks. I recently got back into roller coasters so I occasionally come back here to post and it's nice to see some old faces posting here still after all these years.
I was 14 when I joined this site, and it's amazing to see how the community and the website itself has grown up so much.

Hi, I'm Chris. I'm 17 and obviously a fan of coasters and the amusement industry. I've been to many parks and my coaster count is 63 (not too bad for a 17 yr. old). I joined about a year ago. There was something that drew me to this site but I'm forget what. Overall I'm not a heavy poster (unless it's a topic I'm really interested in) otherwise I usually end up just reading the threads. I have enjoyed my time here in the very friendly and impressively spam-free discussions here. Woohoo!
<--- Contacts if you're interested
I'm a member of my home park's forum, Kennywood Connection, and follow most of the park details, so if anyone has any questions about KP, feel free to ask. I used to be big at "The Point Online", but since I haven't been to CP in going on 3 years I've drifted away from that forum. Still, RCPro is the place I get my info in general.
I am aware that many of the members know each other here, so sometimes that makes it a little more challenging for me as somewhat of an outsider or unknown. It's hard for me to travel and meet with the group cross-country so hey, if anyone's ever in town I' be glad to meet up and give them a tour of the city and KP. :D

Hi im Isaiah, my friends usually call me The Candyman, Izzy, Uncle Tripp, or Tripp...or anything else tht they can think of as a nickname. I have been a member of this site since '05. I was SixFlagsJunkie or something like tht. However, after i took an extreme intrest in cars and racing, sadly i lost my enthusiasm for coasters. Ive since learned so much about cars and racing that im back to coasters and im gonna stick with being a coaster enthusiast for good this time. Anyway, I was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA but I currently reside in Tempe, AZ, ill be returning to LA quite soon though. In about a year ill be moving to London, England so wish me luck. If anyone wants to know more about me or be friends, message me or add me on Myspace. www.myspace.com/uncle_tripp (http://www.myspace.com/uncle_tripp) or display name Uncle Tripp.

I've got time, so I thought I may re-introduce myself, considering I havent posted in this thread since the forums got relaunched last year.
Hey guys, I'm Brandon. I'm 16 years old, turning 17 this May. I've been with RCPro since 2006, and have been with it ever since. I used to live in Southern California until around this time last year. Then I moved to Post Falls, Idaho. For those of you who dont know me, if you do get to talking with me, you will find that I am a pretty relaxed person, and easy to get along with.
I am a ride operator at Silverwood Theme Park, and I love my job there. It is very fun, and very rewarding. If you happen to ever be at the park when it is open, look for me and feel free to say hi!
One thing you will notice about me is that I post news a lot here at the site. I always keep the homepage, as well as the forums updated with news. It's something I like to do, in fact journalism is a career I have kept my eye on for some time.
If you want to learn a bit more about me, you can add me as a friend on MySpace! :)

Hey everybody, I'm Noel or known as TheRiddler3521. Currently I'm 16 years old, but I'll be turning 17 next year on August. I first joined the site around 05' or 06' can't really remember. I live out in Lakeview Terrace, California. I got interested in coasters back when I was about 10, when I rode Ghostrider in KBF after that I couldn't get enough. Mainly all my themepark trips are usually at SFMM, KBF, or DLR. I haven't been out of state for some coaster riding. My other interests are cars, graphics, and tech stuff. Other from that if anyone wants to just talk I'm on MySpace and heres the link:

Yes, even more than Riddler. :p Really it's the lower portion of your body that gets the pain on Riddler. Although, I have not ridden it in 2-3 years, so bleh.
Welcome again!
Interesting, I've always heard that Riddler is a very tolerable ride. That would make Mantis death on rails then :pIt's definitely more comfortable than Mantis, but I wouldn't call it a walk in the park.
I didn't have a huge problem with Mantis personally, but to each his own.

Yeah it can be a pain often times but mainly I have fun on the ride. I usually do pretty dumb stuff meanwhile riding.

Hey guys, for all the new members that joined recently, welcome to the Community! :)
I figured I'd introduce myself again for those that don't know me. My name is Steve Kalkofen, owner and webmaster of RCPro. I've been with the site since April 2004 after previously being a part of SixFlagsNews.com before that was shut down. When that happened, I became an active member here and within weeks joined the moderation team and eventually took over the site from Brandon a couple years ago.
Outside of the site I'm in the U.S. Air Force stationed at Spangdahlem AB, Germany for the past couple years. Within the Air Force I'm a Weapons Director; a controller who directs military aircraft in the skies over Afghanistan/Iraq where to fly and how to get to their targets. Kind of a ground based equivalent of the AWACS if anyone knows what that is.
Born and raised in Germany, I spent most of my time travelling the world, mostly the U.S. and Europe, however have made a few trips to the far east as well with family in the past. I've been lucky enough to visit a vast amount of parks within the U.S. and Europe, and I do my best to visit several throughout the year, whenever work doesn't get too hectic...lol.
Once again, I just wanted to re-introduce myself to some of our newer Community Members and would like to welcome you. I hope you enjoy the Community, get to know others, talk about the parks and attractions we all love and hate, and help make this site's member base a closer knit Community. If there's anything I can do to make your visit to RCPro more enjoyable, please feel free to let me know! :)

Hey everyone,
My name is Nick and I've actually been surfing RCPro for awhile, but just recently I started browsing the forums and got interested in the community. I'm 18 and I will be attending the University of Maryland this fall. My major is mechanical engineering.
Just a quick overview of me outside of the rollercoaster world: I love music and I play drums (drumset, marching, and concert percussion), I run because it's fun :P , and I enjoy composing music, drawing, and writing.
Other than that, my life is rollercoasters. I have my own personal website at http://www.freewebs.com/coastercenter where you can find out about that so I don't waste space here. The site is still in the construction phase and a little slow moving, but I'm getting stuff done.
I look foward to getting involved here at RCPro!

Hey guys, I'm new here. I bought RCT3 Platinum the other day and immediately fell in love with it. I've done a little research on youtube to see what others have done and my goodness, some of you are just AMAAAAAZING at this game. You turn a video game into ART!!
Hopefully one day I can get as good. I'm really into making water parks and indoor/outdoor pools. I love the water, what can I say? :)

Hi everyone!
Just checking out the forums and reading through them.
My name is Daniel and I am a fan of really any park in the central Florida area.
As a little added bonus, I have started up and am operating Amusement Radio, which is "the" place to get all of the current industry news (in audio form).
Ok, enough advertising, and back to reading the forums....

Hey Guys
I am Robert Cory Molloy from Medford, NJ, which my home park is infact, Six Flags Great Adventure. I am a Admin over at Great Adventure Online as well (Cory to be Exact) and I feel like there are no community tie-in's so I am doing that now. I have personally loved Roller Coaster Pro from the first time I visited the site. Just a quality coaster site that has the industry wrapped around "almost" completely. I have considered becoming a Regional Rep for this site. In the near future if Steve would allow it, I will become one. For now though, I will provide you most information for the East Coast when necessary; since this community lacks that area a lot...no offense guys haha.
Well I'll see you all on the forums.

Hi all. What can I say.. love theme parks, will travel!
After having had a season pass at Six Flags Magic Mountain growing up, it just seems like other little parks since I moved don't compare. Found this side after reading some wikipedia articles on history of some of the SFMM rides. I haven't been there since 1996, so anxious to ride there in 1-2 months while visiting friends in the area.
Rode the Corkscrew rollercoaster at Knott's Berry Farm in California about 20 years ago, and approx. 10 years later rode it again after a smaller theme park in Idaho bought and installed it.
Haven't found a ride that scared me yet - I don't think one will ever exist.
There's also cute game on facebook I like called Roller Coaster Kingdom that I started to play last month.
So... hello everyone.

Hello Ceiling Kat!
A lot has changed at SFMM since 1996... Your going to have a great time going back with all the new coasters installed since then!
You should get the matching avatar up there with your username also, lol. :)
Looking forward to seeing you around the forums! :D

SFMM has so many memories.. like when Viper and Batman were the latest things! X2, Tatsu and some of these others I've seen practically make me want to drool when I see pics and vids of them. Can't wait til I actually ride 'em!

I don't think I've posted in this thread before, so I'll post something about myself.
I'm Chris and I've been an enthusiast for about 3 years. I've been around here since one of the older versions of these forums, and I mainly lurk instead of posting. My home park is SFGAm. I grew up in the Chicago suburbs and now I attend a college in downtown Milwaukee. I'm currently majoring in mechanical engineering, and I'm in too deep now to change that. I'm also a huge drag racing fan and my favorite driver is John Force. I'm also a hockey and Blackhawks fan.

I just went through, and saw I haven't posted here as well.
Hi all, My name is Mitch, as you can see from the name. I'm 19, and currently reside in good ol' Omaha, Ne. It's a grand ol' town, one of the best in the country. We've got the most restaurants per capita, and the most STD's in one county, woohoo. Anyhoozer, I'm like everyone else, I love roller coasters, have since I was about 11 or 12. I enjoy the typical hanging out with friends, spending time with my family, the occasionally party here and there, other than that, I'm your typical teenager.
I joined RcPro back in, '05, '04, something like that. I was a really active member way back when, but have sort of sat back and haven't posted the way I used to. My home parks are Adventureland & Worlds of Fun, which get boring after so many trips. I've been fortunate enough to visit a few great parks, including: Six Flags Great America, Six Flags over Texas, Busch Gardens Tampa, & more recently, Hershey Park & Kings Dominion.
I don't think my love for coasters will ever die, I'm a hardcore fan. My dream, like anyone else, is to go to Cedar Point. There was a close call this past summer but plans fell through. Hopefully sometime in the near future I'll be able to spend a few days there and finally experience some top-notch coasters.
Well that's my intro, hope you enjoyed.

I found this site through screamscape.com, and I'm glad to be here. Its always nice to expand your horizons.

Last year I joined the Navy and I am currently at sea on deployment. I have a passion for the amusement park and ride industry and I'm excited to be a member of this site once again!

Welcome to the Community Ethan! It's always good to have another service member on the site! I'm not sure if I remember you from '04...what screen name did you use back then? Hope to see you active around these parts! :)

Thanks Steve! My original username was CoasterKing38 and I used that until about 2007. I referred a few people to this site most notably Jake who posted quite a bit here the last couple of years. I have some great memories including Solace at Knott's Berry Farm and meet up's at Six Flags Magic Mountain with people from RCPro.
