Here we go... Again... for the twenty fourth time this year...
Another PTR!

I set my alarm for 8:00, to leave at 8:30, but I left at 9:00... (sleeping in just abit)
I made it all the way to KBF without missing any turns - go me!
At 10:30 I met Jake under Ghostrider, and we went through the big christmas tree and I handed in my lego soccer set, got a ticket from the army people, and we were off into the park! We went through camp snoopy, and still didn't see Xcel running, so we got in line for Supreme Scream. Here is Jake, the guy who got the same camera as me...

After a few minutes, we saw Xcel go over us, so we got out of line for SS (they were only running two towers, It would be too long), and were first in line waiting for Xcel.

We got the front seat, first run of the day! It was awesome, and just that made the trip down worth it! Here is the flywheel thingy of happiness!

We rode once more in the back car, and left because of the 45 minute line already there.

The log ride was open, and I hadn't ridden since before Solace. It was themed to some elf thing... I wasn't expecting the drop in the dark! :D

We walked over to see Pony Express construction, because boomerang isn't really worth the wait that was already there...

This is about all that has happened so far -

The ENTIRE layout fits in here...

We then went down to Ghostrider, waited the upstatirs switchbacks, and got on near the front. Same old fun Ghostrider. After getting off, I got a piece of Ghostrider wood at the gift shop. For $10.00 exactly, its a really good deal!
http://img503.imageshack.us/img503/5519/photo46wn8.jpg

By then, it was really cold, so we walked out to my car, left the wood, got my jacket, and went on our quest for burger king. We started from the parking lot, and walked up western avenue to the corner by Xcelerator. We thought we could cut across to Burger King, so we walked up Western. And kept on walking... And walked under the 91 freeway... And I finally turned left and we went across a shopping center, and then walked back down beach, and found Burger King! Yumm, Maverick goodness.

Back in the park, we saw a big line for Sierra Sidewinder, huge line for Jaguar, big line for Silver Bullet, so we decided if we were going to wait, SB would be our choice.

Standing in the line out of the entrance.

So, we get on, and Im going to buckle the second belt on my big boy seat, when the op calls out up on three and says you cant ride with a hard cast. Dammit... Well, Jake is on that train, while I stand at the exit...

Lift motor thingy!
http://img155.imageshack.us/img155/6945/img0031iy2.jpg

The lines weren't any better, so we got on the mini train for pictures.
http://img261.imageshack.us/img261/307/img0033le1.jpg

There is a flywheel in there...

Were watching you.
http://img505.imageshack.us/img505/4681/img0058yx0.jpg

So, we decided SS was the next best thing to wait for (the line was just out of the entrance). In line, I took this picture. There was the best sunset view of Silver Bullet from the top of the lift...
http://img153.imageshack.us/img153/3734/img0062zs9.jpg

Back over to check on Xcel and take a bit of video, the sunset showed off its true color... (the fade is horrible).

I would of made a spread out double support right there, but I guess that works too!

I like that sign... It is my favorite ride now (poor Mr Freeze).

I ditched Jake (sorry!), and went home. Last picture of the night -

Even though we didn't ride much, it was still a fun day! Xcel made it all worth it!

Here is a gallery of every picture I took, there are some other good ones in there. http://www.infinitethrills.com/kbf12_1/

And watch my Xcelerator Launch Compilation 2 here! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BWcPiS40B_c
