Hey!

I just went to Six Flags Discovery Kingdom yesterday for "Holiday in the Park." We stayed for about five hours. It got dark really fast so I wasn't able to get all the photos I wanted. Anyways, enjoy the update!

Still no signs of progress on Tony Hawk.

Medusa looks beautiful with its new paint job!

The entire park has been transformed into a holiday wonderland.

The 125 ft Christmas tree is quite impressive in person.

2-Train operation combined with efficient staff and short lines made this our repeated ride choice of the night!

Kong was running quite smoothly for a change. I must say, one of the smoothest rides I have ever had on this SLC. The only down side was the 1-train operation which made for horrendous lines. We only rode this once

It got dark pretty fast and Hangman's paint is showing through Kong's orange. Time for a new paint job.

Some holiday show over near Medusa. There were quite a few of these scattered throughout the park.

It was too dark to really notice, but Boomerang is also being repainted. It is now dark blue track with bright yellow supports. A major improvement over the faded blue and white. The track looked all finished and the supports were about half done.

Every section of the park is holiday themed.

Including Shouka's stadium. I didn't get to see the show because my brother and his friend wanted to go in the 4D simulator. On this subject, The simulator is now Santa's Late. We all thought it was pretty lame, but I guess whatever appeals to families is best. ;)

I conclude the update with a shot of the light up tree. Simply amazing.

Thanks for reading this update. I had a great time! :D

Thanks for the sweet update! I think Discovery Kingdom has proved itself to be one of, if not the nicest Six Flags park - period.

When it comes to shows, they should only have one - maybe two different shows and advertise the heck out of them. As is, start announcing the show thirty minutes before it starts, kind of like what Disney does. Little things like that could drive the shows popularity WAY up.

Loved the update, it's cool to see a park transform over the holidays :)

Medusa looks terrific! It's amazing what a simple coat of paint can do. You had some good shots there too . I also loved the Christmas Tree, that is quite impressive.

Great update Sam! :D

Great update Sam. I'm so glad to see that Medusa is back up and running and it looks so nice with the new paint. I can't wait to see more of Boomerang's new colors, but from your picture it looks really good.

I'm kind of surprised that there's no sign of Tony Hawk's Big Spin yet, but it's a small clone coaster, it shouldn't take too long to put up.
