At 26 PTR's this year, and here we are. Another SFMM update!

My little brother and I got to SFMM at 11:30, parked and walked up Magic Mountain Parkway. The same crane that was there on my 12/8 PTR hasn't been touched...

Nice update, love the pic with the sign :D

I wonder how much longer the park will take with the painting portion of X's transformation to be completed, they seem to be going pretty fast, especially for Six Flags. I also wonder what the heck that crane is doing by the big sign...

X and Viper are both looking great with the new paint and I like the new X colors better than the original. If Ninja's paint is looking that bad after just under a year, it makes me wonder what X2 and Viper will look like in 2009. Dam you regulations committees against lead-based paint. :p For Flashback, it looks like they are giving it the Windjammer treatment and it's not coming down as fast as some guys on TPR said it was. For Freefall, I will be really sad to see it go, much more than the other flats like Spin Out. As for the rest of the park, I'm looking forward to see how this all turns out when I go there in spring 2008.

Perhaps the sign is receiving new paint? The lettering is in red after all and Six Flags is now on red roller coaster number three. I’m sure that the paint has been ordered in excessive abundances (not forgetting the deal with the paint supplier also). ;)

Ugh, that faded Ninja paint is really disappointing. Hopefully it's not throughout the whole coaster, but perhaps only on highER stressed places.

Otherwise, great PTR. You are officially the first person to catch proof of Flashback's demise. Flashback is about to be flashed back into obscurity to remain nothing but a distant memory.

^ It looks more like grease or dust. I don't think its faded, it just needs a power wash.

^Actually, somebody at Coasterrealm said it's probably due to welding/repairs done on that area, since the high heats damage the paints.

the resemblence of the red track and yellow support on X actually looks good! but I'm pretty sure the red and black together will look much better, great update! :)

Indeed. If Six Flags would've gone so low as to use the cheapest paint on their coasters, I would be very disappointed.
