Dakota Kingdom

SIOUX FALLS, SD--A huge amusement park is now open just north of Sioux Falls has opened with much hype. Included in the park's line-up is Howlin' Wind, a huge 145-foot tall looping roller coaster with five inversions, Blitz, a launched roller coaster that goes through a loop and goes backwards, and much more.

The park's developer said they are still constructing the east side of the park, and it should be open for next season with even more rides, and another roller coaster.

Of course, I was out there in no time, so here we go!
Here's the entrance and all its glory...

"AmeriSwings," a Chairswing ride is the only ride on this side of the midway (still constructing the rest)...

"Snack Cabin" and its nice little eating area overlooking a lake...

There's some bathrooms, a trampoline-thingy, and a Monster ride over on the other side of the midway...

Here's their classic launched looper, Blitz...

Blitz has this cool little effect where geysers go off when the train goes by...

^Thanks you two.

I'm sorry, but I won't be able to update until this Friday, because of school and all that stuff. :(

Call me a nOOb, but I got a new computer, and I am trying to get all the custom scenery I had back. What set(s) did you get the custom scenery from to build Howlin's station? (which looks awesome btw.)

I'd also like to see the full layout of Howlin. Other than that I suggest you add some random trees in between rides and paths, not just lining them.

I like the fountain behind the entrance, very creative.

Keep up the good work, this is better than anything I could do.:)

^Stuk71's HGR 71 v1.2, Vodhin's lighting kit, Shyguy's Mainstreet Pack 4, Circus Center (1), and Expo 3000.

And about the trees, I did that so when it came time to build new rides, I didn't have to delete all these thousands of trees.

Thanks for you input!

I really like it. :) I like the blue and white building by the picnic tables along with the cables and stuff by the stations and entrances of the rides. :)

Year Two

I'm sorry I did not get out to take more pictures at the park last year, but here's some new ones from this year!

Welcome back to Dakota Kingdom, where we're going to see the opening day of Skycoaster's replacement, Lightning Bee, a Gerstlauer EuroFighter!

Fireworks and lasers in the middle of the day? Don't ask me. But hey, its still cool how they did it.

Another note from the day, the east side is still not done. I ask the manager of the park, and he said it should be opened in a couple of weeks. UGH!

Well, anyways, hope you enjoyed this update!

More to come...

All I can say is excellent. Very creative with Lightning Bee, I have never seen anyone attempt a Eurofighter out of that coaster type, and despite RCT3's limits you have managed to make the layout Eurofighter-ish. Can't wait to see more!

Guess what? Dakota Kingdom is back in action! Here's the new Year 3 update you've all been waiting for a long time...

Year Three
It has been another long winter, but Dakota Kingdom is back, and with a bunch of new rides to!
http://img222.imageshack.us/img222/1223/28oi9.jpg

The park finally has a kiddie coaster now, Howlin' Junior.
http://img127.imageshack.us/img127/4389/29ka1.jpg

The extremely scary Mc. Gorman Mansion, lol
http://img266.imageshack.us/img266/9499/30sj4.jpg

Of course, Disc-O! (yes, that's the name)
http://img294.imageshack.us/img294/4880/31cf9.jpg

The carousel and new amphitheater with Kara Oki.
http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/5475/32ms6.jpg

Over on the old side of the park, we find that Dakota Eye now has two levels, not just one.
http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/300/33vv3.jpg

Around the corner... What's this? Construction walls!
http://img181.imageshack.us/img181/7597/34iw2.jpg

It's a coaster, but what kind?
http://img147.imageshack.us/img147/4787/35zk4.jpg

The track and supports must still be in those containers (note the building behind them...)
http://img100.imageshack.us/img100/4468/36nk9.jpg

Well, that's all. I'm anxious to see what's in those containers, but I bet the park will try all it can to keep it secret. Thanks for reading this update!

Wow!

I usually prefer park with more theming, but this must make an exception! It makes me so pissed off at how my computer doesnt seem to like CS, therefore I have none, but even with CS, this looks to be a pretty awsaume amusement park.
