I started this park a few months ago, and I just started to work on it again, and I figured I would show you guys what I have done so far.http://usera.imagecave.com/Jumpman23/SCR228.BMP-copy.jpg
This is the parks launched Intamin Impulse, VOODOO the station music is Jimi Hendrix's Voodoo Child.http://usera.imagecave.com/Jumpman23/SCR233.BMP.jpg
Jaguar the parks first inverted coaster.http://usera.imagecave.com/Jumpman23/SCR234.BMP-copy.jpg
Lifthill of Jaguar.

I am still finishing the outer areas of the park the map size is 185x185 so I have been going at a very slow pace. comments and critizism greatly appreciated.

You should post in this forum a little more often :)

Great work, love the coasters. The realistic look is what gets me. Outstanding detail!

Quite refreshing, but your archy is repetitive. Try and give each building its own distict construction and style, much like you would see in real life. Right now, its pirate wall, poles, yellow window with black shutters for nearly all of the structures. Vary the textures, colors, etc, from building to building and it will look so much better.

Very promising stuff, looking forward to seeing more.

Yeah I know my buildings are repetitive I am trying to work around the park but it is hard for me.

Nate
01-19-2008, 08:27 PM
Doesn't look hard, the park looks great so far. I don't mind the buildings being the same for a little, as long as it is not the entire park. If an area has the same style buildings, it is no biggie. Try making them different heights and add a deck or something, just doing that spices it up enough.

Jumpman23

Michael: thanx
Nate: those screens are in the African section, that is why my buildings are all the same.

Update coming tomorrow.

Sam
01-19-2008, 10:44 PM
Everything looks good except for in the second screen. The large footer in the water doesn't look very good. I recommend putting a standard round footer there, then zero-clearance the park to raise up the water level to submerse the footer. I also don't like those supports on the bridge in the middle of the second screen. Fix these two things and you're all good!

Jumpman23
01-19-2008, 10:47 PM
^so how do you get the standard footer under water I am not understanding?

Also I dont have anyother scenery that would look good for the supports under the bridge.

apsterling
01-20-2008, 12:07 AM
Lower that tile of water, add your standard footer, and enable Zero clearance in 8Cars, and raise the water.

Looks nice!

Sam
01-20-2008, 01:14 AM
^ What he said. ;)

For the bridge, some standard blocks would look nice. Those points on what you have now just look odd.

Jumpman23

I worked on the problems you guys pointed out, it looks much better.

Now here is a preview of what is to come tomorrow.

Those supports on that hill are nice but the footers would look better as quarter tile blocks connected instead of that cluster of round ones.

I really really really like the layout on this coaster :)

I'm glad to see the architecture varying now, it looks really nice so far. Keep up the good work!

chris
01-20-2008, 05:28 PM
Good but 3 things I saw weird to me. \/

1. Get rid of the fences and add the cable ones or some shorter one.
2. Not liking the helix at the end.
3. Change the S bend. It wont work.

Jumpman23
01-20-2008, 05:30 PM
^ What is wrong with the helix and what fence are you talking about the Queue fence or the path fence?

Michael
01-20-2008, 05:33 PM
Not liking the helix at the end.

The helix is a high speed and high g maneuver that makes a good finalee and slows the train down before the brakes.

Keep it :)

The Storm Runner
01-20-2008, 05:34 PM
I really like it! When I first took a glimpse at the track, I immediately thought "Nitro" even though the colors are a teensy bit different. Is that the whole ride though? Those three hills going out, turn around, two hills, helix, brakes? That's rather short... I do like the supports. :) Maybe just change a color in the station? Something other than gray gray beige gray would look better in my opinion. :)

^^3. What if there is another storage track right there?

Jumpman23
01-20-2008, 05:38 PM
Michael: Thanx I put the helix there for what you said it rellay is a good finally and it slows the train down enough so the break run isnt so abrupt.

Storm Runner: Thanx, I am thinking of taking out some of those trees in the background and putting in some more track.

chris
01-20-2008, 05:55 PM
The queue line fences. Also what is the chain doing? Sloped brakes?

Jumpman23
01-20-2008, 05:58 PM
^ yes, the chain is going backwards so it slows the brake down abit.

chris
01-20-2008, 05:59 PM
Can you private message me on how to do that?

The Storm Runner
01-20-2008, 06:03 PM
I actually like the brown queue fences. :)

As for the brakes, if they're just normal chain lift pieces on a downward slant, sorry, they aren't slowing it down. But they do look good though. :) I say keep them. :)

Here is the park's boardwalk.

http://usera.imagecave.com/Jumpman23/SCR242.BMP.jpg

Edited some of the trackwork on Jaguar, I put in a double helix because the single helix I had caused alot of G's entering the helix.

Sort've a sneak peek of the newest attraction, El Toro Loco.

Nate
01-20-2008, 06:58 PM
It looks great, I'm really looking forward to this park.

The Storm Runner
01-20-2008, 07:00 PM
Wow, all of that looks so good! I love the supports and terrain in the boardwalk. However, please do something with the checkerboard ground inside the awesome buildings. Jaguar looks really good as well; I love that double helix. Just, I think you should move the photo-op to somewhere low to the ground, cause it ruins the jungle look with the two smilies on sticks in the sky. El Toro Loco looks really good as well. :)

Jumpman23
01-20-2008, 07:18 PM
Nate: thanx alot

Storm Runner: Thanx, I fixed the checkerboards and the phot section I moved it.

Sam
01-20-2008, 10:36 PM
You might wanna fix that support crossing the track on Jaguar's loop so it doesn't mutilate the passing by train. ;)

Jumpman23
01-21-2008, 01:27 PM
^ that support is not going through, it is just the angle of the screen.

Update soon.

Could you show us an overveiw??? The park is amazing. Very good. Not liking Nitro though, it could be taller and longer. My opinion is to make it a double out and back. Meaning make it like Raging Bull.

I really like the look of the interconnected land areas by the boardwalks over the water. This is such a neat park! :)

rollercoasterfreak91
01-21-2008, 04:26 PM
For the boardwalks, you might want to use diagonal path, they look very boxyish.

Jumpman23

^ I dont have diagonal paths

Chris: you talked me into making Nitro longer and bigger pictures soon.

chris
01-21-2008, 05:15 PM
It would make the coaster more realistic.

The Storm Runner
01-21-2008, 05:47 PM
Wow that looks good! The only thing I'm not too fond of is the black roofs. Maybe change some of them to other colors like the darker green, brown, and red? Also please change the colors of the building on the left side of the screen, by the rapids ride. I do like it though. :)

Not a big fan of that Flying Dutchman. But I really like Nitro except for the ending helix as it is too long and looks like it would pull too many G's and that small hill right after all the turns that connects those helix's back to the other part of the roller coaster but I am glad you made it longer as it was too short before. The other concern that I have is you use those poles on the top of your buildings way too much. Take some off and try something new there they look way to repetitive. Also I am not a big fan of your coasters going through waterfalls as that is not very realistic and IMO brings this park down a bit from how great it is and how realistic it is. Interested in that wooden coaster and B&M that's next to it. But otherwise this is a nice park. Keep up the good work.

Jumpman23
01-23-2008, 02:45 PM
I wasnt trying to make the flying dutchman accurate, and what is wrong with the waterfall it goes with the foresty look of Jaguar; I will post more pics of the Beemer and the woody.

I don't know if anybody cares about this but do you have any flat rides in the park? It looks like most of your park is buildings and roller coasters. If you do have some flats, could you get use a pic? Thanks.

Nate
01-23-2008, 04:02 PM
There are flat rides in most of the screens. Only the ones that focus on a coaster don't really show them

Dan
01-23-2008, 07:18 PM
You trying to copy me on the B&M looper? It kinda looks like my Outlaw. Most B&M's look alike in many ways..all he has is a turn and a drop. Do you have that copyrighted?

It's a great start, I love Jaguar's station. However, the waterfall in the first screen does look out of place, I'd get rid of it.The B&M seems too heavily supported at the bottom to the middle of the lift.

Great job!

chris
01-23-2008, 08:24 PM

It's an interesting layout. I like the first element. It's just a bit odd that the MCBR comes so soon after the drop. Also, I may have missed this comment or question but are you keeping the footers the way they are? I know they aren't the easiest to work with but it looks odd when you have those base blocks three or four stacked upon each other.

rollercoasterfreak91
01-31-2008, 10:40 PM
I would suggest lowering the terrain so you can fir another support piece on, it'll also give the area a more natural look. I like the onride photo.

They layout of that new coaster looks good so far. I like how you have the construction phases, but what I don't understand is why you placed them in random spots. B&M's have their rides built like; support, track, support track, etc. If it were an Intamin, it would work.

El Toro Loco looks nice, a bit inspired by Maverick I see. I don't really like the clashing of different land tiles. I would suggest adding some foliage in that area. In the queue, I think there are way too many TV's. Get rid of most of them, and spread them out more.

There are lots of glitches on your coaster. And if you want to get rid of that On-ride-photo thing, that is peeking through the wall, build the wall on the other side of the tile, that should get rid of it.

Overall, I think this park is turning out great. Just some few minor adjustments here and there, and you'll be off.

Good luck and have fun with it!

I really like the flyer, I'm not sure that I really like the turn around in the first screen, I think that area is too bare. You could also put some trees around the rest of the coaster too. Besides that everything looks good.

Yeah, I really like the flume as well.

Three suggestions however:

1. Change the paths by the entrance of the flume. Right now it's centered around the exit, not the entrance. Maybe add two more path tiles to make it even and not so off-centered?

2. Fix up the path confusion by the red-roof building and the coaster's supports and footers. It's just weird-looking, in my opinion.

3. On the red-roofed building, move the windows up one notch - they look kinda droopy.

Other than that, everything looks great! I love the ways you've broken up the midway with the land tiles and elevation change. It looks really good.
