Me and my fiancee are travelling to LA for 8 days in February. We plan on hitting up SFMM, Knotts, Disneyland, DCA and Universal.

We are arriving at 10:30 AM on Sunday, Feb 17th and will be immediately going out to Valencia for two night stay. We plan on making the Monday (the 18th) our full day at Magic Mountain. What kind of crowds can we expect, and also should we arrive extra early?

What ride order should we hit up first as well and any other advice or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Also on the Sunday, our hotel is right across the street from SFMM and since we will have a whole half day (Noon and on) in Valencia, we were thinking of even going for like a half-day to MM, just to sorta of walk around the park, maybe ride 2 or 3 coasters, before out big trip the following day. Does SFMM offer a discounted full-day pass if you arrive mid-day or late afternoon? Or do you have to pay the full-day price? What if we arrived at 2 or 3 in the afternoon?

Thanks!

I'll take my advice from another Magic Mountain thread:

As far as going through the park:

The Tatsu direction: Enter the park, and go towards Tatsu (to get to the entrance you'll need to turn left, go past the carousel, and continue up the hill until you reach its plaza). Hit Tatsu, and then proceed up the stairs next to the entrance of the ride, and hit everything on the hill (Ninja, Superman, Sky Tower if it's open). Then proceed down the hill and go to Deja Vu (at the bottom and to the left). Then, just follow the park's circular design and hit Goldrusher, Riddler's Revenge, Batman, Scream!, Colossus, and Goliath. Then, you should have time at the end to hit the smaller rides as well as Revolution.

If Tatsu isn't a big deal for you, turn right after entering the park. Go in the opposite direction compared to the previous route, hitting Goliath, Scream!, Colossus, Batman, Riddler's, Goldrusher, and Deja Vu. Then, go up the hill and hit those rides, and then hit Tatsu...go down the hill to Revolution, and hit anything else you may want.

And to answer your last question, there is no afternoon ticket discount. Though, since you'll be in the park for two days, I would get yourself season passes -- they'll be good for the rest of the year at all other Six Flags parks, and they cost the same as two online tickets.
