Right, so I started working on a new solo a little over a month ago. I'm not going to lie; I havn't gotten much done, but getting feedback early always helps to get the ball rolling.

Park Entrance and entrance plaza. Prize goes to whoever can guess what true park entrance this is inspired by.

Superman: Ride of Steel. Pretty tpical layout. A few nice drops, helixes, ejector hills, etc.

Comments and criticism are always appreciated.

Love the entrance, it is really gives off a nice atmosphere to the park, but the castle round tower in the corner by the maze looks awkward, the giga coaster cars would look nicer to, on S:ROS. Also the custom Toon supports would make your Superman ride so much better.

The entrance looks like it's based off BGE's. ;)

Looking good so far. The Maverick inspired Superman ride could run into some conflict down the line with a ride at a park my friend is working on.

Amazing work so far. I'm glad you started on another project and you're definitely moving a lot faster then me as I started over a month ago on my solo and only part of my main street is finished. I'm going to have to disagree with Jumpman about the supports because I always liked the thicker supports better, even though I stink at using them, as the toon supports sometimes get overused. But I am going to agree that the round tower does look a bit out of place as its not attached to anything but just sitting there but if you leave it its not that big of an issue. Otherwise just keep with the project because I want to see how it comes out in the end.

Please, please PLEASE don't use hedges as fill for scenery. It just dosent work IMO. VERY nice otherwise.

Im gonna say Its inspired by LC or Darien Lake...

Wow, awesome job, Zach! Everything looks dandy in the first pic except for the single tile path to get into the plaza. Maybe make that double or more. As for Superman, I think the supports look great, as do the catwalks and lightning rod. Just one subtle thing - the tower supports on the lift, I think you should make them all the same direction. The first three are all facing the same way (the X's), but then the fourth is facing the other way. I think it'd look more uniform if all were the same direction.

It looks really good though!

BTW, I believe Jay was correct - Darien Lake http://picasaweb.google.com/dhruvmpanchal/DarienLakeThrillingAug2007/photo#5096131701019594178

But the way it turned to the right, the sign out in front, Guest Relations on the side, and the gardens made me think at first it was Hersheypark lol.

As said before, looks a bit like BGE - but it still looks fantastic. :cool1:

It looks nothing like BGE's enterance. The bottom part may but the top, no comparison. The enterance has no towers. The highest thing is not even near it (Globe Theatre).

We were comparing the general appearence, not the towers individualy.

Who knew so much could be written about two little screens. Looks really nice Zach, as always. Keep it up.

In comparison the only thing that looks like BGE is the brown wood overlapping eveything. I know Zach would like us to drop it.

How did you get those custom supports and train for superman?

^ Storm Runner Trains and custom scenery for the supports.

They were actually modeled after the "giga" style trains with OTSR like on Colossus.

The trains on all of the latest accelerator coasters are totally different looking.

I don't have any real comments on the park other than that I would have gone with a 30degree lift and 60 degree drop, with standard giga trains.

The entrance is a little too small scale with only two turnstiles at a Six Flags park.
Other than that it's great.

Looking great as always, Zach! Everything looks really nice. Idk if it's the angle, but there are two spots on Medusa where supports are going through the track and one spot where the supports don't line up (zero-g main support). The transfer track looks really good, along with the 'terrain' and sun on the storage building and the MCBR.

In the second screen, everything looks really good as well. I love the buildings, games, and colorful flowers. On the tallest building in that screen, near the top there are three dark brown colored bricks. Is there a special reason for them colored differently? I really love that wall along the water there; it looks really good (it'd look better though, I think, if the walls continued underwater). And I have no clue what's over there, but there is a lot of gray pathing at the top right corner of that screen. But everything else just looks awesome.

Interesting layout on the Floorless. No loop? Well it still looks well paced. :cool1:

Looking good!

Love it. I don't know exactly why I love the look of the Medusa screen, but there's just something really awesome about it; it just makes a good impact. 2nd screen is good cos it actually looks like a theme park and not a RCT2 park (if you get what I mean...)

Transfer should be moved up one more block. Also, the transfer supports look nothing like that of a B&M transfer. It's not even hooked onto the track so how can the track even slide ?
