I havent decided which one yet, but I do ask for a relativitaly short one. I need some suggestions. the track doesnt take long to model, and since my computer is faster than the other ones I use, I may update instantly.
Batman seems like the ideal short B&M to me.

Do I even have to tell you what track this is?

That looks pretty good. I think the rails should be a little bit higher than they are, but it might be just the perspective...
Have you decided what coaster you want to do yet?

Looks good, but it looks like the main spine needs to be more trapezoidal in shape. :cool1:

Yeah, It's in a trapezoidal shape, It's just the shot that throws it off.
And i was concerned about the height of the rails too, I couldnt decide where they should be, lol so I'll raise them back up. I'll be at work almost all day tomorrow and I got a night show today so you'll probally see an update on friday. should have the station track, and part of the lift done by then..
oh and btw, that trak is huge, It's about 3 times the size of Griffon's, I'm going to have ot carefull size it down sooner or later, but it's easier to work with like this so it's not disappear off my grid all the time.
edit:*Update later today, Early sunday*

^ You should have gone to Kings Dominion with a tape measure while the Dominator track was still in the parking lot, lol. You could have gotten all the measurements needed to recreate B&M track accurately.
It looks pretty good though. I agree that the rails should be a little higher and I'd also shave the total hight of the spine down just a hair. :wink2:
I'd look at this (http://www.rollercoasterpro.com/basics/ids/b_and_m/b_and_m_dive.jpg), maybe it will be of some help to you. It's supposed to be extremely accurate. That's the only angle there is, though.

Griffon's track is a bit different than other B&M floorless track if I recall. I followed the pictures on RCDB and various other websites. I promise you it's mainly angle and lighting issues. I need to give it a better texture and Im thinking about trying UV maps for realisim. The basic shape is fine.
reason why I havent updated yet is cuz lightwave(the animating program) is acting retarded and wont save my pictures correctly. Modeler(the modeling program) wont transfer my objects into lightwave correctly either...

A side view of my work...

I've been experimenting witht the colors and textures to make the track more realistic... It's going to take fine-tuning throughout the whole process so dont worry about it for now... The blue and green is not the backdrop I'm going to use when it's done, just to let you know...
I havent been working on it lately, I'm very busy....
Got any Questions and comments? Ask me. Any suggestions? Tell me....

Well, I was waiting for stupid questions and comments about how the track isnt like Griffons at all, but I guess I'll explain that now.
When you model something in a long straight line and have to twist it, building the majority of track leading up to it is the easiest way to go. When i go and use the twist tool to fix the "twisty" part of the immelman, It's going to twist the whole thing, if I cant isolate certain parts of it, which building it this way (for now) has enabled me to do. When I do this the scale of the immelman may or may not throw off the drop, so this is why it's top bit isnt as "close" as an actual dive machine's is.I may have to add more to the drop to fix it when the immelman is complete.
oh and, when I'm done with the immelman, that will also allow me to fix the spacing between the drop and the immelman.

The only main problem I see is that the immelman and drop are circularly curved. They need to be parabolic to acheive the right forces.
He just explained why they aren't...
