Round Two
http://xs126.xs.to/xs126/08174/voyage159.jpg
Objective:
[You are a designer that will build a layout for the manufacturer.]
A relatively small seasonal park, which attracts just 750,000 guests annually, is looking to build an adrenaline-filled wooden roller coaster attraction that flies through dense brush and vegetation, to boost annual attendance. The coaster will be contracted to the firm of your [the designers] recommendation (i.e. - GCI, GG, Intamin, etc). Due to a small budget, the attraction must be in the range of 2600-3900ft in length and utilize only one (1) train. However, due to future capacity needs, the layout must be blocked to handle at least two trains when the park expands enough to purchase a second train. You may use fully articulating, two bench, or three bench cars, but the train must have a total of at least eight rows.
Due to zoning requirements the coaster cannot exceed 120ft in height and because the park has only prepared the given plot of land, you cannot build (both track and supports) outside the boundaries indicated by the markers. You may not alter the terrain. However, because the park has a large reserve of land, you may add as many trees as you like (that will be relocated from the parks unused land) to give the attraction that epic feel the venue is after.
To adequately fit the layout of the park, the station must be somewhere inside of the box marked with a purple "X". And as a last trick up the park's sleeve, the park asks that at least one portion of track goes over, via a bridge, the box marked with a turquoise "X". You may not add ground supporting anywhere in the area with the turquoise "X". This will eventually become a pathway/queue leading the station building.
Remember, build within the parameters the park asks, yet be creative and realistic!
Good Luck!
