Hey guys,

Sorry it took me so long to get another one of these things running but I have been very busy with school work lately. Now that the summer is approaching, I think its time we do another one of these. For now we will still keep it at 10 people but if I notice there is a high participation rate, then we can make some adjustments.

Here's a review of the rules for anyone new. anything with a star next to it is a new rule or rule modification so be sure to check those out.

Here's the list of rules:

-Players have 12 rounds to make the most well-rounded park. The order will be selected randomly and will reverse at the end of each round.

-Players will have 24 hours to make their pick; once the player has made the pick or 24 hours has passed, the next player may make their pick. If you do not meet the deadline, than your pick will be skipped until the end of the draft, which then is when you can makeup your pick. If you miss atleast 3 picks, you will be disqualified and your picks will be put into the Pool.

*-The Pool will be compromised of picks that a disqualified person has made. Once the picks are put into the Pool, they are available to everyone and will be given on a first-come, first-serve basis. If you happen to miss a pick and there are picks available in the Pool, you may makeup your missed pick with a coaster in the Pool but you must wait atleast 3 turns until you may makeup your pick.

-I will also ask that nobody makes suggestions for coasters people should pick. It's not fair to other members and such posts will be deleted.

-When making a pick, a post should contain the full name of the coaster. Abbreviations for parks will be allowed as long as they are exact.

-About making trades: For trades to be official, both sides need to officially agree to the trade by posting here saying that you either announce or confirm the trade in question.

Here's the list of coasters that are eligable:

-All coasters must be operating. (includes coasters experiencing minor breakdowns or minor rehabs)

-Coasters that are no longer standing or not running this year are not eligible. (includes coasters being relocated or coasters experiencing a major rehab)

-A coaster under construction cannot be picked until it is running and open to the public.

-A coaster can only be picked once; once it is selected, no one else may select it again.

*-You may not select two of the exact same coaster with the same manufacturer. Ex: If you pick Batman: TR (SFMM), then you cannot pick another B&M invert unless you get rid of it. But you are able to pick a Vekoma invert (though i don't know why you would ) This rule also applies to Wooden Coasters!

"Your Name" = your turn to pick
"Your Name" = you are next to pick
$= coaster is on the trading block
X = missed pick

*-Also if you guys would like, we can make every participant create a list of 10-15 ranked coasters to send to me. So should anyone miss their pick, I can pick the highest eligible selection for you. Just a suggestion though

If you have any questions, comments, or concerns, please feel free to post them and I will answer them to the best of my abilities.

Sure, why not. Could we have an "on deck" color too, instead of just showing who's up?

Si. I'm guessing you did away with the judging thing from the winter, no?

Jake

The judging never officially took place.. so.. there's not much to do away with.

Ya it just never really worked out how i planned. Besides I actually kinda like letting everyone vote so that way others can become involved

And I will post the order in a day or two. It will be chosen randomly via Random.Org (www.random.org)

Wow... I swear we need more spots on this. I swear I checked it just the next day after I saw quite a few spots open and all were gone

Eclipse

If you guys are up to it, I don't mind opening up two more spots. But I think that will be the maximum

Unfortunately, I have to give the last spot to Michael. He was the one who suggested it in the first place.

And just so you know the front page has been updated with the draft order so be sure to check it out!

You can give 3xinvert my spot. I won't be able to finish the draft when summer starts.

When the draft starts, I'm assuming there will be a new thread made specifically for picking? We wont use this thread for the picking will we?

Yes a new thread will be made. We will be looking to start on Monday. Jake will be on the clock at 12:00 am Monday.

Wait so do we have to wait til the next day for someone to pick? Like for example lets say "x" picks Millennium Force at 3 PM and it's my pick next, do I have to wait until the next day to pick?

thedeadfrog
05-12-2008, 10:32 AM
Actualy, on the contrary. If your turn is after "X" you have 24 hours to pick before the person after can pick without waiting for you.

Usualy, those in waiting pick right on the minute that you miss your 24 hour deadline.

So if X picks at 3PM on May 13, you have until 3PM on may 14th to pick without losing your spot and getting a strike.
