Default Six Flags Magic Mountain - PTR Posted

I'll be at Magic Mountain this Sunday for the first time since November. I'll be staying till about 9ish, and getting to the park at around 9:30 that morning. I'll be with a friend, but if anyone wants to hit up a couple rides together, let me know! If not, I'll post a trip report when I get back.

We ended up leaving earlier because we had done everything we needed to do, including X2 three times, and we both have to get up at 5:30am tomorrow. So, here I am.

Anyway, X2 was very good, although the train we rode the first and second time had terrible audio volume. However the third time we were able to get the full effect of the audio, and it was very nice. People were really excited to get on the ride, it's almost like it's new all over again!

The rest of the park was very clean, and it was all quite nice. Still no Disneyland or Universal Studios, but hey, it's become a bit better then Knott's in my book.

Yeah I've heard it's been improving quite a bit these last few months. Glad you had fun. Any awesome pics you care to share?

I'm almost positive train two is the bad one. As for pictures, I'll probably put them up tomorrow night, I'm beat from work.

Okay, so a few days later then I anticipated, but I've been too tired from work this week to do anything. But seeing as I have no work today, here are some of the pictures I took last Sunday. I didn't take too many, but I think I got enough.

We arrived at about 9:30am and then waited for the park to open.

We ran like mad to X2 and ended up getting on the third train of the day!

My first ride was in the second train.. fourth row I think, on the outside seat. Oh, and on the left side of the station.

    Viper from the X2 queue.

X2 was a great experience. It was quite a bit smoother, and the fire, audio, fog, etc. really makes a notable difference! It's definitely on par if not better then Maverick in my opinion (Maverick being my number one at the time).

    Nice.

    It looks so.. clean.. weird.

Riddler's Revenge doing it's thing. Minus Free Fall of course.

    Airtime!

Super intense, super smooth, super vigil- er.. never mind..

I've never seen this fountain running before! Very cool!

The next few pictures are from the Sky Tower Museum. Which was pretty awesome by the way.

The only picture I took at the CSI show, which was pretty good. Certainly not up to a Universal or Disney standard, but it sure as hell blew the acting at Knott's out of the water! And it's a good way to beat the heat for thirty minute .

The last batch of pictures I took the second/third times I rode X2.

The last picture. They were doing a great job as far as keeping line jumping to a non-existent level. They were also letting people get out of line to go to the bathroom then come back in to their original place. Very good!

So here is what I rode (in order) and how long the wait was.

    X2 - 10min

    Tatsu - 15min

    Deja Vu - 5min

    Riddler's Revenge - 5min

    Batman: The Ride - 10min

    Goliath - 5min

    Colossus - 10min

    Scream! - 5min

    Revolution - 5min

    Viper - 5min

    Goldrusher - 5min

    X2 - 105min

    X2 - 90min.

The park was pretty crowded, but the operations for all the rides were fantastic! I had a really good time at the park, and am quite impressed with the turn around the park has had.

Sounds like you had a great time. X2 was on par with Maverick? That's awesome! Are they tied or have you decided that you like one better then the other? I've only been on X2 but really wanna go to CP to ride Maverick. It's also great to see the park was clean and that you got on every coaster with minimal waits. Thanks for posting the pics, it makes me want to go back to the park right now. :stick_tongue:

Great pics! You went from a 10 min wait for X2 to a 105 and 90 min wait! That's a huge difference. That would just drive me crazy.

We had done everything else, so waiting for X2 a couple more times wasn't too bad.

I haven't really decided which I like more, and there's a good chance I never will. Who is to say I can't have two number one's?
