    Post SFMM 1/31/09 Update

    Soup peoples.

Now I am not going to waist my time spending hours on a PTR because of how I have been treated by some certain individuals (don't worry, it's not you ). Here is some pictures because you all deserve it. JD will make a full PTR later, credit for that goes to him. Anyway here are my pic's.

Gah! I wish I could fix it too. The dust spots you see in the sky are deep inside the lens near the sensor, they go in and out of focus with zoom.

The pictures from the Sky Tower have some glare, I did my best but it is always a problem to shoot through that glass...

Wow, they have gotten a lot done since Matt and I went there. They haven't even started the supports, they just had all the wood bundled up on the side. I'm surprised Six Flags even started yet :P

Awesome pictures! I really liked those ones towards the end. Terminator seems to be going up pretty fast. I'm excited about it and it looks like it's going to be a great ride! Thanks for the update!

    Default Sfmm 1/31/09 ptr

It's the new year, so my pass is now worthless, but this past Saturday I did manage a trip to that one park everybody knows and loves, SFMM.

    The parking entrance around 3PM.

Inside the park, heres a look at the rumored new Flashpass area,

    Another look.

Went for a quick ride on Revo, then up the Sky Tower.

    Revolution, the only solution.

    Tatsu and the Sky Tower.

    Different angle.

    What's this?

SFMM has quickly progressed with Terminator's construction since my last visit.

Quick panorama of the construction site. Click for high-res full.

    To the right.

    Center work.

    Looking leftwards.

    Wood waiting to be placed.

The footers can give you an idea of where its all going.

Intermission. Enjoy this pic of the almighty Psyclone.

Back on ground and back to Terminator.

    The turnaround.

As you may know, the shooting gallery has been removed. Terminator's entrance is said to be taking its place.

Give this a couple months and it'll look even better.

I hope they figure out something to do with the Psyclone pillars without removing them. They need to stay.

Looking at the turnaround through a hole in the fence.

    Zooming in.

    One last Terminator shot.

Oh yeah, this place is apparently being converted to another Johnny Rockets.

Walked around the park a bit, Goliath's queue was getting a little work.

Across from Goliath, Swashbuckler is being repainted.

    Another look.

Pan of the area. Click for high res full.

We thought about having a quick spin on Elmer's Weather Balloons...

    ...but it's still down

Also, weird note: this ride was testing. Its the first time I've seen it run in a while.

We decided to go get a bite to eat, so we left the park for a bit to get some Panda Express.

This Ice Cream place in the front of the park has been emptied out. I don't remember what it was, I want to say Haagen dazs but I'm not sure.

So we left the park, got nomables, came back full, then finished the night with Viper, Ninja, Superman, and X2.

Holy crap, they fixed Laughing Dragon's sign!

Over at X2, they've added numbers for the rows.

Thanks to assigned seating, I got row 5.

X2 is still awesome. My voice was hoarse afterwards. (I blame the awesomeness of Sabotage.)

It was now half an hour past park closing, so we were pretty much left with leaving as our only option.

Valencia Fall's fountain somewhat after hours.

So Billy and I got in the car and went on our way home.

    One last pic.

All in all it was a great visit. Light crowds and amazing improvement with Terminator.

It may be a new year, but I'm still ending this the same way I always do:

    Thank you for reading.

Very very nice update guys. Thanks for taking the time and posting the pics here. Glad to see the amount of work done on the ride and the general improvements around the area.
